YouTube's new rules: Real hard work is now necessary to earn!
From July 15, 2025, YouTube has made a big change in its monetization policy. Now creators who are uploading videos repeatedly using AI or in the same old format without hard work may have their earnings affected.
The company has clearly stated that "Original" and "Authentic" content will be promoted, while repeated, unremitting videos can now be excluded from monetization.
Who can get a setback?
If you are creating videos with only AI-created voiceovers, slideshows or videos of the same format repeatedly, then you may be warned. YouTube will especially keep an eye on such low-effort content spread in Shorts.
According to a report, more than 40% of Shorts have seen such content. In such a situation, this move of YouTube is a clear message that now quality will matter, not just the number.
Which creators are safe?
If you are making videos by putting your own voice, face or real effort in your content - like tutorials, explainer videos, personal stories - then there is no need to panic.
YouTube has clarified that this change will not have any effect on such creators. Hard work and originality will always be appreciated.
Now if you want to earn, then you will have to work hard
The basic purpose of YouTube has always been to tell stories and provide useful information.
AI is a tool, but if you create the entire content only with AI, then now YouTube can ban it. You still fall under the same rules for monetization:
1) 1,000 subscribers.
2) 4,000 hours of watch time in the last 12 months or.
3) 10 million Shorts views in 90 days.
But now the rules will be enforced more strictly, especially on the originality of the content.
Conclusion
If you want to make money on YouTube, 'Copy-Paste' or 'AI-only' videos will no longer work. You have to work hard, tell a story, and connect with the audience.
YouTube's message is clear
“Take help from technology, but don't put all the burden on it.”
